What is the ruling on the official permission for Christian missionary groups to operate in some Islamic countries?

If the Shari'ah forbids something, it also forbids everything that leads to it. Being pleased with the disbelief of disbelievers is disbelief itself, which indicates the seriousness of allowing apostasy in Islamic countries. 'Umar stipulated to the People of the Book (Ahl al-Dhimmah) that they should not build new churches, renovate old ones, or display their crosses. Thus, it is even more imperative to prevent them from inviting to polytheism.
