How can we attain a reward like that of the people of Mecca and Medina for praying in the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, knowing that a prayer in the Sacred Mosque is equivalent to one hundred thousand prayers, and in the Prophet's Mosque to one thousand prayers?

A Muslim can earn abundant rewards and great recompense anywhere by performing good deeds, such as fulfilling obligatory duties, avoiding forbidden acts, observing supererogatory acts of worship like prayer, fasting, Hajj, and Umrah, engaging in dhikr (remembrance of Allah), reciting the Quran, giving charity, and diligently performing acts that multiply rewards. Examples include remaining in the prayer area after Fajr for dhikr until sunrise and then performing two rak'ahs, which is equivalent to the reward of Hajj and Umrah. Also, striving to pray in the mosque is highly rewarded, for whoever performs wudu' and goes to the mosque to observe an obligatory prayer receives the reward of a pilgrim in a state of ihram. As for the multiplication of prayer rewards by a specific amount, this is a special grace Allah has bestowed upon those who pray in those particular places.
