How can one stop repeatedly falling into sins, overcome Satan, is there repentance for those who repeatedly commit sins despite their vows, and how does one remain steadfast in repentance after guidance?

Satan is an enemy to man, and he is determined to mislead him and divert him from the straight path. Among the means that help protect against his evil are:

1. Faith in Allah, reliance upon Him, and seeking refuge in Him, for he has no authority over the believers who rely on Allah.

2. Adhering to the Quran and Sunnah, and frequently reciting the Quran, especially Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat Al-Kursy, and the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.

3. Maintaining congregational prayers, the call to prayer (adhan), and night prayers (qiyam al-layl).

4. Continuously remembering Allah Almighty, especially the prescribed remembrances (in the morning and evening, upon sleeping, entering and exiting, eating, marital intimacy, using the restroom, and undressing).

5. Adhering to the Muslim community.

6. Staying away from following the footsteps of Satan and his dwelling places, such as markets, private seclusion with women, and gatherings of singing. It is advised to use the internet for good company and academic research, and to stay away from its evil.
