Is there a contradiction between the Hadith: "Three, when they appear, faith will not benefit a soul that had not believed before or earned good through its faith: the rising of the sun from the West, the Dajjal, and the Beast of the Earth," and what the commentators have affirmed, that Jesus, peace be upon him, will call people to Islam after the Dajjal and abolish the Jizya, even though the faith of one who had not believed before then will not benefit him?

Muslim narrated that if three signs appear, faith will not benefit a soul that had not believed before: the sun rising from the West, the Dajjal (Antichrist), and the Beast of the Earth. However, the Dajjal will be killed by Jesus, and people will live for a long time thereafter. Scholars have offered several explanations to reconcile this apparent contradiction:

1. Mentioning the Dajjal in the hadith is an error (wahm). 2. Mentioning the Dajjal in the hadith is a textual distortion (tashif), and the correct word is "smoke" (ad-dukhan). 3. These signs hinder righteous deeds; some distract from deeds, while others prevent deeds from being accepted thereafter, such as the sun rising from the West. 4. The non-beneficial nature of deeds only occurs with the complete emergence of all three signs, the last of which is the sun rising from the West, at which point the door of repentance closes. This last opinion, along with the third opinion, is the strongest of the mentioned perspectives.
