What is the ruling on masturbating to quench desire, given the financial inability to marry and the inability to have children?

Allah Almighty commanded those who cannot find a spouse to practice 'iffah (chastity), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, guided those who are unable to marry to fast, for it is a shield for them. Complete fasting, in which the limbs also fast, is considered one of the most important means to curb the intensity of sexual desire. There are additional tips, including: avoiding sexually stimulating foods and provocations, accompanying righteous people, engaging in sports, tiring the body with social work, and occupying time by acquiring beneficial knowledge and memorizing the Quran. The fear of Allah and being mindful of Him are what protect a servant from error, along with sincere repentance, increasing prayers, supplication, and seeking Allah's help.
