Is the stepfather considered a corruptor (mukhabbib)? Is the woman sinful for seeking a divorce from her first husband? Is her second marriage valid? Is what her children did considered disobedience to parents (ʿuqūq)? Is the mother sinful?

If a wife seeks divorce from her husband without a legitimate reason, she is sinful and must repent. However, if there is a legitimate reason, she bears no sin.

If the new husband incited her to separate from her husband, he is a 'mukhabbib' (one who corrupts a wife against her husband), and 'takhbeeb' (incitement to marital discord) is forbidden.

It is not the children's right to reject this marriage or complain about their mother's husband unless their mother suffers significant harm from him. Their obedience to their mother in formalizing the marriage contract is a part of obeying parents in what is good.
