The ruling on listening to anashid (Islamic vocal songs) was previously explained as not to overdo it, so that it does not become a habit that prevents the heart's humility except through it, or prevents it when reciting the Book of Allah. As for sighing (or moaning) in anashid, it appears - and Allah knows best - that there is no harm in it if it is in a context that necessitates it, such as sadness. However, one must be careful not to overdo it, lest it resemble singing in softening and breaking the voice.
