Is the story true that a young man fainted after recalling the verse, "Indeed, those who fear God – when touched by an impulsion from Satan, they remember [Him] and at once see clearly," then died, and his voice answered from the grave after Umar ibn al-Khattab recited, "But for he who has feared the standing before his Lord there will be two Gardens"?

The story mentioned in "Tarikh Dimashq" (The History of Damascus) is weak in its chain of narration (isnad) and objectionable in its text (matn), especially given the numerous defects in its narrators. These include the unknown status of "Amr ibn Jami'," the weakness of "Abu Salih, the scribe of Al-Layth," and the abundance of objectionable narrations in his Hadith. Furthermore, there is no clear biography for Yahya ibn Ayyub Al-Khuza'i, and his shaykh (teacher) is unknown, as he is not named. All of these factors prevent the story from being authentic and render it unreliable.
