We praise Allah for guiding you to abandon dealing with interest-based banks. The principle concerning interest (usury) is to dispose of it in a way that does not benefit the person getting rid of it. So, it should be spent on charitable causes and general Muslim welfare. It is not permissible to give it to your parents for their sustenance, because if they are poor, their maintenance is obligatory upon you. In that case, it would be a protection for your money and a benefit returning to you. It is permissible to give them the interest to pay off their debts, as a child is not obligated to pay off the debts of their parents. It is permissible to deposit money in Faisal Islamic Bank.
