The answer

Many Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions emphasize the virtue of spending on family and children. The Quran clarifies that providing for women and clothing them appropriately is an obligation, and that Allah replaces whatever a servant spends. As for the Sunnah, it shows that spending on family is among the greatest deeds in reward, better than charity and all other expenses. Indeed, if a man considers this spending as an act of devotion, it will be counted as charity for him. The Sunnah also clarified that whoever is tested with daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Hellfire, and that whoever supports two girls until they reach maturity will come on the Day of Resurrection with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The spender should be moderate, neither extravagant nor stingy in his spending.
