May Allah benefit you, how can one reconcile the commanded مداراة (mudarah) with the forbidden lying, knowing that truthfulness leads to problems?

"Mudara" (conciliation/deference) is to be gentle with people, keep good company with them, and bear with them so that they do not become alienated. It means to humble oneself before people, to use soft words, and to avoid harshness towards them. It is recommended, and its practitioner is praised. The one who practices "mudara" does not lie in his speech; rather, he softens his words and avoids harshness and severity. It is necessary to differentiate between "mudara" and "mudahana" (compromising one's religion/flattery). "Mudahana" is forbidden; it is to associate with a wicked person and outwardly express satisfaction with his state without denouncing him. As for "mudara," it involves denouncing him and forbidding his action with gentle words and deeds, especially if there is a need to win him over.
