Is it permissible for a reciter (munshid) to be present at a wedding ceremony, singing with chaste words and without musical instruments, and for men and women to be present in the same garden with separate areas, and to congratulate the bride in halls where there is music and intermingling, without sitting down?

It is permissible for women to attend a singer's performance if there is no fear of temptation. If women are in one area and men in another, there is no harm, provided that women observe proper Islamic covering and there is no mixing between genders except out of necessity. It is preferable to avoid weddings where indecencies are prevalent, such as immodest display, mixing, and musical instruments, unless one's presence can eliminate the indecency. However, if the indecency cannot be removed, then attendance is forbidden. It is permissible to attend for congratulations and blessings when the place is free of indecencies. The believer must enjoin good and forbid evil with wisdom.
