What is the ruling on a wife who stipulates that her husband engage in sadism in order for marital intimacy to be consummated?

Sadism is a sexual perversion characterized by the emotional and physical torture of a partner, sometimes even leading to murder. Some psychiatrists attribute this to mental illness or improper upbringing. Masochism, on the other hand, is the opposite of sadism, where a person tortures themselves or requests someone else to do so in order to achieve sexual climax.

This is not permissible in Islam due to the harm, damage, and perversion involved. The husband should advise his wife to do the following: resort to Allah and supplicate, consult a female psychiatrist, cultivate feelings of love and compassion, read stories and biographies of people with merciful hearts, avoid associating with aggressive individuals, refrain from reading or watching anything related to this behavior, take an interest in raising pets and growing flowers, sit with good and righteous women, recite the Quran and remember Allah, and participate in helping those in need.
