Is the repentance of one who guaranteed an interest-based loan accepted despite its ongoing repayment? And will her prayer for a righteous spouse be answered? And will the children be punished for the sin of their father who deals with usury? And is his money unlawful if he starts a project with this loan? And will the prayer for sustenance through a righteous spouse be answered despite the father's continued dealing with usury?

Rejoice in the acceptance of your repentance and Allah's forgiveness for you. Indeed, one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin, and will not be punished for it in this world or the hereafter. No one bears the sin of another. Your father's borrowing with usury is unlawful, but the money borrowed is not unlawful if it is used for trade or to purchase something. It is not a condition that a delay in marriage is a punishment from Allah, for tribulation can be a mercy and a sign of love. However, a servant must review oneself and renew repentance. The response to supplication is not limited to the fulfillment of what is requested, for Allah may hasten the supplication, or save it for later, or avert an equivalent evil. Haste may prevent the supplication from being answered. So, persist in supplication and do not be hasty, and have good expectations of Allah.
