What is the ruling on one who insults Muslims, praises disbelievers, and wishes to become one of them?

Allah commanded the believers to love and support one another, and to hate and oppose their enemies, and that walaya (loyalty/alliance) can only exist between believers. Whoever takes the disbelievers as allies is one of them. Allah the Almighty says: (O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. Some of them are allies of one another. And whoever of you takes them as allies - indeed, he is one of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people) (Al-Ma'idah/51). And His saying: (Your protector is none other than Allah, His Messenger, and the believers). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that love for the sake of Allah and hatred for the sake of Allah are among the strongest bonds of faith, and whoever loves for Allah, hates for Allah, gives for Allah, and withholds for Allah has perfected faith. As for one who praises Christians or disbelievers and commends them, if his praise is for the essence of the disbelievers, then he is a fasiq (transgressor). If he praises them from the perspective of their disbelief, then he is a disbeliever. Whoever believes that Jews and Christians are upon a correct religion is a disbeliever. Mentioning their commendable virtues in a manner of praise and admiration is forbidden. Whoever says, "Jews are better than Muslims" has committed an act of disbelief. And whoever combines insulting Muslims with praising disbelievers and wishing to be among them, he is a disbeliever, expelled from the fold of Islam. He should be asked to repent, or else he should be executed for apostasy.
