Did Gabriel say to Moses—when Moses said to Pharaoh's sorcerers, "Woe to you!"—"Indeed, Allah Almighty says to you: These are My allies and My beloved ones"?

No divine revelation has been found to indicate this. Al-Qurtubi mentioned in his tafsir that Jibril said to Musa: "Be gentle with Allah's awliya (saints/friends)" after Musa said to the sorcerers: "Woe to you! Do not invent a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you with a torment," but Al-Qurtubi did not attribute this statement [to a source], and it is probable that it is from the narrations of Bani Israel.
