Is it possible for disbelief to occur at the time of death due to the temptation of Iblis?

If someone was a Muslim and then apostatized while being accountable (mukallaf), they have disbelieved. The trial of Iblis occurs at the time of death, where he tries to mislead the servant. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge from the Devil's confusion at the time of death, from him corrupting the mind and faith, or preventing repentance, and from him making one hate death and despair of God's mercy, so that one's life ends in evil. For the Devil is never more severe on the son of Adam than at the time of death. Ibn al-Jawzi said that the Devil takes control of the dying person and misleads him in his belief, and prevents him from repenting, and may even cause him to object to what is destined. Therefore, the believer must seek God's help and be steadfast at this hour.
