When will the horrors of the Day of Resurrection occur, such as the earthquake and the shrouding of the sun and other events? Will this be between the two trumpet blasts or after the trumpet blast of resurrection? Will all people witness them? What is the correct sequence of the scenes of the Day of Resurrection, from the blowing of the Trumpet until the entry of the people of Paradise and Hellfire?

The precise time of the Hour and its terrors is among the matters Allah the Almighty has exclusively kept to Himself. The first of its terrors is the First Trumpet blast (the blast of terror), by which the world will be transformed and its order corrupted. Mountains will move, a great tremor will strike the earth, nursing mothers will be distracted, pregnant women will miscarry, children's hair will turn grey, devils will flee, the earth and sky will crack open, stars will scatter, and the sun and moon will be eclipsed.

Then follows the Second Trumpet blast (the blast of stunning/annihilation), by which everything will perish except those whom Allah wills (the bearers of the Throne, Jibreel, Mika'eel, and Israfeel). After this, Allah will roll up the heavens and the earth.

Then comes the Third Trumpet blast (the blast of resurrection and gathering), by which people will rise for reckoning. This will be followed by the gathering, the Greater Intercession, the receiving of books, the Scale, the Basin (Hawd), passing over the Bridge (Sirat) and the Bridge of Grievances (Qantarat al-Mazalim), and then entry into Paradise or Hellfire.
