Does committing major sins like usury and shaving the beard during the daytime in Ramadan invalidate the fast, by analogy with adultery and drinking alcohol?

Usury and shaving the beard are forbidden acts. Committing sins contradicts fasting, which was legislated to achieve piety. Complete fasting is attained by those who fear Allah. As for those who engage in usury or commit a sin while fasting, their fast is deficient, and their share from it might only be hunger and thirst, according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Perhaps a fasting person gets nothing from his fast but hunger and thirst." Nevertheless, their fast is valid, and they are not required to make it up.
