It is not permissible to combine the two prayers for the distance mentioned because it does not reach the limit of travel that allows combining according to the majority of scholars. There is no harm in praying in the presence of disbelievers, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray in the presence of delegations of polytheists in his mosque. If that is not possible, you can leave the workplace to pray, for the entire earth is a mosque. It is advisable to seek employment where one does not mix with disbelievers so that the heart does not harden.
