What is the ruling on honoring my wife on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8th?

"Women's Day" is an innovation and an invented matter that entered Muslim lands due to their heedlessness and imitation of the West. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it will have it rejected." Every innovation that is introduced causes a Sunnah to be abandoned or to die out. The festivals in Islam are only Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Honoring one's wife should be continuous, as it is a requirement of living together in kindness, not on a special occasion that is considered an innovation.
