Peace be upon you. Is listening to foreign and Arabic songs forbidden?

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. We previously clarified that singing with musical instruments is forbidden. This includes all songs, whether Arabic or otherwise, because the reason for the prohibition is the same: the hardening of the heart and turning away from the remembrance of Allah. And Allah knows best.
