Is working as a researcher in a governmental body that regulates the insurance sector and arbitrates legal disputes between companies permissible or forbidden (halal or haram)?

If the authority is specialized in regulating the work of commercial insurance companies, then it is not permissible to work therein; because commercial insurance is unlawful, and Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
