What is the interpretation of a righteous elderly woman's sayings about future events that later come true, whether in a dream or while awake? And is that considered a karamah (divine bestowal/miracle) from Allah?

Allah grants some people knowledge of the unseen through righteous visions or inspiration and intuition (tajdid). A righteous vision is a part of prophecy and good tidings for a Muslim. Inspiration and intuition (tajdid) involve hitting upon the truth or having the right word spoken through the tongue of the "muhaddath" (inspired one). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, described Umar ibn al-Khattab as a muhaddath. This type of knowledge of the unseen may be called kashf (unveiling), but it can be experienced by both the righteous and the wicked. It should always be measured against the Quran and Sunnah. Karamat (miracles bestowed upon saints) and wilaya (sainthood) exist within the Ummah of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. However, one must be cautious not to venerate individuals, build tombs for them, or ask them for anything instead of Allah, because Satan may cast unseen matters upon the tongues of some individuals to mislead people.
