Seeking knowledge is among the noblest of pursuits, and both the scholar and the student must adorn themselves with good characteristics, for both are role models. Among the rights of the scholar over the student are to revere and respect him, to behave courteously with him, to acknowledge his merit, to honor his sanctity, to pray for him, to look after his offspring, and to endure his harshness. The student must also address the scholar in a proper manner.
