What is the explanation of the situations of the three people whom Allah loves, laughs at, and gives glad tidings to, as mentioned in the noble Hadith?

The Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, informs us that Allah loves three: a man who fought in the way of Allah and remained steadfast and patient even when his companions faltered; a man who has a beautiful wife and a soft bed, yet he leaves them to perform the night vigil (Tahajjud); and a man who was traveling with companions, and they stayed up late, got tired, and slept, but he rose to pray at dawn. These three chose Allah's command over their own desires.
