What is the meaning of the Hadith: "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and whoever dislikes meeting Allah, Allah dislikes meeting him"?

The meaning of "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and whoever dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him" is, as narrated in Sahihayn from Aisha: "It is not as you think, but rather when a believer is given glad tidings of Allah's mercy, pleasure, and Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah loves to meet him. And when a disbeliever is given glad tidings of Allah's torment and wrath, he dislikes to meet Allah, and Allah dislikes to meet him."

So, the believer loves to meet Allah at the time of death when he is given glad tidings of reward and mercy, while the disbeliever dislikes meeting Him when he is given glad tidings of torment and wrath.

The dislike mentioned here is what occurs at the time of death (نزع), when every person is given glad tidings of what he is destined for.

This hadith affirms the attributes of love and dislike for Allah the Almighty, in a manner befitting His Majesty, without distortion, denial, anthropomorphism, or resemblance.
