What is the ruling on wiping the face after reciting Ayat al-Kursi and Surahs al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, and al-Nas upon completing the prayer?

Wiping the face with the hands after reciting the surahs following the prayer is not prescribed, as there is no firm basis for it in the Shari'ah. What has been reported is wiping the face with the hands after supplication (du'a).
