Is it permissible to say: "May Allah and Muhammad be with you"?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, died and departed to the Highest Companion. He is not with anyone in this world to preserve, help, or teach. Allah Almighty alone encompasses His creation and is with them by His knowledge. It is not permissible to associate anyone with Him in these meanings. Allah did not mention in the Quran the companionship of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, alongside His companionship with His creation. Rather, He mentioned that He is with the pious, the patient, the believers, and the doers of good. Therefore, it is not permissible to say: "Indeed, Allah and Muhammad are with you."
