A traveler is permitted to shorten prayers (qasr) and avail themselves of the concessions of travel in villages where they do not intend to reside for four days, after having covered the travel distance. Similarly, upon reaching the city where their brothers reside, they may do so as long as they do not intend to stay there for four days. If they do intend to stay for this duration, they become a resident and no longer qualify for the concessions of travel.
