Is abortion permissible in the event of forgetting to take birth control pills and having young children, knowing that there are difficulties in giving birth in a foreign hospital with a male doctor, and the possibility of finding a female doctor to perform the abortion?

Abortion is impermissible at any stage of the fetus's development, even if it is a mere drop [nutfah], for it is a soul [nasamah] for which life is hoped, and this falls under the corruption that Allah has forbidden. The reasons mentioned, such as having other children, the possibility of the delivery being performed by a male doctor, or the need for a car to go to the hospital, are not legitimate excuses for abortion. The husband must assist his wife in caring for the children, and if there is no female midwife or doctor to perform the delivery, then a man may do so out of necessity. One can consult a doctor at spaced intervals to alleviate the problem of unavailable transportation. Allah may bless this fetus, so the matter should be entrusted to Him.
