Is it permissible to pray Maghrib in the bus, and what should I do if I doze off for a little while?

If the distance between the questioner's workplace and her home reaches the distance for qasr (shortening prayers), which is 83 kilometers, then she may delay the Maghrib prayer to combine it with the 'Isha prayer by way of jam' ta'khir (delaying combination), bearing in mind that a slight sleep for one who has ablution while sitting does not nullify wudu'.

However, if she is moving within a single city or a distance that does not reach the qasr threshold, then she is not permitted to delay Maghrib to combine it with 'Isha except out of necessity. If she fears the time for Maghrib will expire and she cannot pray on the bus, then she should pray according to her ability, and then repeat the prayer as a precaution after disembarking.
