Is the lineage of the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, non-Arab?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Scholars have agreed that the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is firmly established among the Arabs, and the Qur'an was revealed in Arabic, in their tongue. The Hadith, "Love the Arabs for three reasons: because I am an Arab, the Qur'an is Arabic, and the speech of the people of Paradise is Arabic," was narrated by Al-Hakim, and it contains weakness. The extinct Arabs are the pure Arabs (Al-Arab Al-Aribah) who perished. As for Adnan, they are the Arabized Arabs (Al-Arab Al-Musta'ribah), and their origin is from the progeny of Ishmael (peace be upon him), who learned Arabic from the Jurhum tribe. Researchers hold that Qahtan is from the progeny of Adnan, which means that all current Arabs are Arabized. There is no disagreement that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the noblest in lineage among all people on earth.
