What should a committed girl do if her family rejects everyone who proposes to her, using her studies or political affiliation as an excuse, and she is too shy to tell them about the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If someone whose character and religious commitment you are pleased with comes to you, then marry him"?
The argument about completing studies is weak, because marriage does not prevent one from studying. As for belonging to a political party, if the party has an Islamic orientation, then this does not cause harm, nor should he be rejected because of it. However, if the party contradicts Islam, then there is no doubt that he is not suitable for a committed Muslim girl, because he is not pleasing in his (religious) commitment. He must be rejected, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "If someone whose religion and character you are pleased with comes to you (seeking marriage), then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." The girl can express her desire to marry a suitable person, and the guardian must marry her to him; otherwise, he would be considered an oppressor. Modesty that leads to harm is blameworthy, and marriage is an innate need, and there is no fault in seeking it.
