What is the ruling on completing a marriage with a 15-year-old girl who shows some signs of not being religiously committed and states that she wishes to attend university to meet young men, all this done to preserve the religion given the young man's strong desire to marry and his difficult financial circumstances?

Those about to marry make a great mistake when they imagine that their partner will change for the better. The choice must be realistic, especially in marriage. The girl mentioned is not religious, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, advised choosing the religious woman by saying: "A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty, and her religion. So marry the religious woman, and may your hands be soiled!"

You should seek help from Allah the Almighty, for He assists the one who marries seeking chastity. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "There are three whom Allah has promised to help: the Mujahid (fighter) in the way of Allah, the Mukatab (slave who has a contract of emancipation) who wants to pay off his debt, and the one who marries seeking chastity."

The condition of the girl mentioned is not suitable for marriage. If she is sincere in her intention to change for the better and becomes religious, then propose to her. If that does not happen, then leave her and marry someone else.
