Must a traveler replace a trust (money or an item) that was stolen from him or lost due to circumstances beyond his control, for the person who entrusted it to him?

The trust must be kept in its secure place, based on the Almighty’s saying: (Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due). If its owner keeps it in its secure place and does not transgress or neglect it, then there is no blame on him if it is stolen. However, if he neglects or transgresses by placing it in an insecure location while being able to secure it, or if he disposes of it, and then it is stolen, he is held liable. The rule is based on transgression and neglect.
