How is the inheritance divided between a full brother and four sons of a half-brother (from the father's side)?
If the heirs are limited to those mentioned, then the inheritance is exclusive to the full brother, as he takes all the money because he is an 'asabah (agnate) by himself and there is no sharer (owner of a prescribed share) or closer 'asabah with him. The paternal nephew receives nothing because he is completely excluded by the full brother. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Give the prescribed shares to those who are entitled to them, and what remains is for the closest male." It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to the courts due to the presence of wills, debts, or rights that take precedence over the right of the heirs.
