Is it permissible to fish using electricity?

Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of eating fish that died due to a cause, such as what a person catches or what is left behind by receding water. Consequently, fishing with electricity is permissible because it inflicts less harm than other causes of fish death, the permissibility of which is undisputed. This does not fall under the torture of fish, which some scholars disliked, such as throwing live fish into fire without necessity.
