Is it narrated from any of the Companions that he shortened the prayer for more than a year? And what is the maximum duration for shortening the prayer? And is the famous hadith widespread among people, "Whoever neglects prayer, Allah will punish him with fifteen punishments...", authentic? The answer

Some Companions shortened their prayers during travel for more than a year. It was narrated that Anas ibn Malik resided in Nishapur for two years, praying two rak'ahs. And it was narrated that Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah stayed in Persia for two years, neither combining prayers nor praying more than two rak'ahs. As for the hadith "Whoever neglects prayer...", it is false and not authentic. And the hadith "Perhaps his father..." has no basis.
