It is permissible for a Muslim to accept help and intercession from a disbeliever, unless it is in exchange for compromising one's religion or cooperating in their falsehood, or if it leads to the heart inclining towards them. Entering a church is forbidden if there is an objectionable act such as polytheistic phrases or images, but it is permissible if it is free from such things. In cases of extreme necessity (fear of death, imprisonment, torture), it is permissible to resort to and seek refuge in a church, even if it leads to uttering a word of disbelief while the heart remains firm in faith.
