Which is better after the first congregational prayer in the mosque has ended: performing the second congregational prayer in it, or praying individually in the mosque, or praying individually at home?

Scholars differed on the issue of repeating congregational prayers in a mosque that has a regular imam, holding two opinions:

1. Disliking (Karahah): The majority of jurists (Hanafis, Malikis, and Shafi’is) consider it disliked to repeat the congregational prayer. They based their view on the fact that when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, missed the congregation in his mosque, he prayed with his family at home. They also argued that repeating it might lead to a decrease in the original congregations. 2. Not Disliking: The Hanbalis held the view that repeating the congregational prayer is not disliked. They based their argument on the general virtue of congregational prayer and on the hadith of the man who entered the mosque after the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had already prayed, whereupon the Prophet said, "Who will trade with this man?" So, a man stood up and prayed with him.
