What is the ruling on donating a portion of hair to make a wig for young girls with cancer, knowing that the donor wears a hijab?

Joining hair with human hair is impermissible according to the most preponderant opinion of the majority of scholars, due to what has been authentically reported in the Two Sahihs and other collections regarding the cursing of the one who joins hair and the one who requests it to be joined. It is not permissible to donate any hair for this purpose. The sick girl has ample options in pure hair that is not from human beings.
