Is it permissible for a man who is unable to perform Hajj due to illness or old age to delegate someone to perform Hajj on his behalf more than once using his own money while he is still alive?

If a Muslim has performed the obligatory Hajj for himself, and he is unable to perform Hajj due to old age or a chronic illness from which there is no hope of recovery, then there is no impediment to him appointing someone to perform Hajj on his behalf once or more. Appointing someone to perform a supererogatory Hajj is also permissible.
