What is the meaning of "And indeed the Home of the Hereafter is the Animal (or the true Life)"?

The meaning of the verse is that what Allah has given to the rich in this world—wealth, prestige, and clothing beyond what is necessary—will vanish and fade away like a mere plaything. The Hereafter, on the other hand, is the abode of everlasting life, where there is no end and no death. Thus, "al-hayawan" (the life-form/animal) and "al-hayat" (life) carry the same meaning.
