What is the meaning of life?

Life is the opposite of death, and true life is the life of the Hereafter, or for those who strive for it. Allah Almighty says: "And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [true] life, if only they knew," and Allah Almighty says regarding one who was dead in disbelief and Allah brought him to life through faith: "Is he who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like he who is in darknesses, never to emerge therefrom?" Thus, the true life that has meaning is life through Islam and faith.
