Is it permissible to move to work in the South if no work is available in the North, while my father refuses to spend on me despite his wealth, and would this be considered discrimination between children that violates the Messenger’s — may Allah bless him and grant him peace — commandment?

A father must spend on his children who have no money, providing sufficient food, clothing, and housing according to what is customary. University education expenses are not included in the obligatory maintenance. It is good for the father to spend on it if the study adheres to Islamic law. It is not permissible for a woman to travel for work without a mahram unless there is an extreme necessity. It is advisable to look for work in her hometown and strive to get married so that her husband can be a support for her travel. Filial piety is obligatory in all circumstances.
