What is the ruling on money collected from worshippers on the night of the 27th of Ramadan and given to the Imam of Tarawih prayers, knowing that he receives a monthly salary from the state?

If the money is collected for the Imam to help him and show kindness to him, then there is no harm. However, if he takes it as a wage, then that is not appropriate, in order to avoid the disagreement among scholars regarding taking wages for acts of worship, and because he is already receiving sustenance from the public treasury.
