Does receiving money for leading Tarawih prayers diminish the reward for leading the prayer, and does it fall under the noble Prophetic saying: "Whatever a servant receives from worldly things, it diminishes his status, even if he were honorable in the sight of Allah"?

It is permissible for the Imam to take money given to him without any prior condition, unless he fears feeling indebted to the giver, and this does not diminish his reward. As for the hadith (definition), "No servant acquires anything of this world except that it diminishes his ranks," it is attributed to Ibn Umar (mawquf) and not directly to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him (marfu'). This hadith is interpreted as referring to one who takes from this world unjustly or does not show gratitude to Allah. Receiving payment for acts of obedience, such as teaching the Quran, does not prevent the reward, provided that the intention is to dedicate oneself to beneficial acts, not merely to accumulate wealth.
