To what extent is it possible for the souls of prophets, companions, and the Household of the Prophet to communicate with humans? And are those who communicate with them their Qarina (familiar spirits) or jinn who are toying with them? And is it possible to see the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a waking state or to feel him as a soul, and can he communicate with humans?

What is mentioned about seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while awake, or his communicating with some people through whispers, or his commanding to seek blessings from graves, is a gateway to tribulation and a deviation of the extremist Sufis. None of the Salaf ever claimed such things.

Supernatural occurrences are not limited to the righteous; they can also happen to the wicked and the disbelievers. A distinction must be made between divine miracles (karamat) and satanic states, as the latter arise from communication with jinn and devils, and are not among the miracles of the saints.

These matters are complex. Therefore, whoever seeks the truth must strive in seeking knowledge, understanding the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the guidance of the Companions; for this is the path to infallibility and success.
