Can the spirits of the dead be summoned and questioned about specific matters?

Spiritism is a demonic charlatanry that aims to corrupt beliefs and morals, and it has no reality; for souls are part of the knowledge of the unseen, which Allah has exclusively reserved for Himself. Souls remain and hear after death, but they do not connect with the living except in dreams. What charlatans claim is the summoning of devils, whom they assert are the souls of the dead, in order to lie to people or exploit the ignorant to acquire money. This act is forbidden and invalid, and believing these charlatans is a branch of disbelief.
